ONE TREE PLANTED
FOR EVERY BOOK SOLD
350,700 trees planted so far
From 2020, 3dtotal Publishing has pledged to plant one tree for every book sold by partnering with and donating the appropriate amounts to re-foresting charities. This is one of the first steps in our ambition to become a carbon neutral company with carbon neutral publications, giving our customers the knowledge that by buying from 3dtotal Publishing, we are working together to balance the environmental damage caused by the publishing, shipping, and retail industries.
Eden Reforestation Projects is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration.
Deforestation is not just an environmental problem, but a human one too. The regions most impacted by deforestation are highly poverty-stricken and underdeveloped areas. With few options to support their families, communities are forced to destroy their local environment to survive, such as cutting down trees for construction, fuel, heat, and agricultural purposes. Eden Reforestation Projects hire those living in extreme poverty to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. This “Employ to Plant” methodology benefits the local community, by providing steady employment, and as the harmful effects of deforestation begin to disappear, a positive cycle of growth begins.
Eden Reforestation Projects are planting the trees from 3dtotal’s One Tree for Every Book Sold initiative in Mozambique.
