Good if you already know painting

Unfortunately I was expecting that the book has a step by step guide on how to actually paint for people that doesn't already know how to paint. But if you knew it from before and you want to switch to digital it's a very good guide, it even touch art fundamentals and icludes tips from professionals.

A very comprehensive book on Photoshop

The first half of the book lists through all of Photoshop's the main tool sets. After you get through that, you should have a good range of knowledge at your disposal. It's not all about tools though, there is a section in the book which guides you through a selection of images, what to look for and why it's there, basically general key points. The book also covers topics such as composition, emotion, perspective, characters, landscapes etc. Towards the end of the book, there is a particularly handy quick tips section that covers most areas.This is a very comprehensive book and absolute must for anyone looking to get into world of digital painting via Photoshop.
