The male planar reference figure is a neutrally posed, athletic build male standing at 11-inches tall. The size and low price tag make this model a perfect desktop reference, while also maintaining all the detail you'll need.

The figure has been sculpted for 3dtotal by Dan Crossland, printed using a top quality 3D printer by Ownage, and then cast in grey resin to make the variation in the surfaces and directional flow of the forms and shapes easy to see and understand. The planar version is perfect for artists looking to visualise the human body in its simplest forms, and is great for light and shading studies, as well as for 3D artists looking for better understanding of the shapes and volumes that build up the body.

The figure was part of a successful Kickstarter campaign in December 2014, raising £21,053 to ensure that 3dtotal could continue to produce high-quality, low-cost reference figures for your drawing and sculpting needs.

I struggle with male anatomy and this figure cracked the code for me. This planar model is beyond perfect. It is bigger than I thought it would be. It pairs perfectly with the female planar model.

Great figure

The figure has great attention to detail, and has been really helpful. I bought both this one and the female planar figure. The one tiny issue I do have about this figure is that it does wobble quite a bit in comparison to the female planar figure. The pegs that keep the figure in the stand are closer to the ball of the feet, and it causes it to wobble a bit more than the female version that has the pegs closer to the heel of the feet. But its not a huge deal. Overall, its still a must have.

Amazing figure, with support on par

So, the figure itself stands out on it's own. The light but pronounced color helps hit lights and darks very well. The planes on this figure really help give an understanding of the shape and form of the male figure. Can't recommend enough.And the support is AMAZING. I bought my girlfriend the female planar bust for her birthday, but she already bought it without telling me so I asked if I could return it. And not only did they let me return it and exchange it for this figure, but they also refunded the shipping on the replacement. Astounding support.Really, 3dtotal has always pulled through with quality works and products, and they got me as a supporter for a long time to come.

Excellent product and service

Highly recommend this for painters and 3D sculptors. Excellent quality sculpt with no obvious seam lines, smooth finish and a great size! DPD messed up the delivery but you guys instantly sorted it out, pleasure doing business.
