Introducing the second model in a range of affordable anatomy reference figures for traditional and digital artists alike...

The female anatomical reference figure is the second model to grace artists' desks and workspaces around the world, giving everyone a chance to develop their anatomy skills without paying a hefty price tag.

Whether you're a traditional or digital artist, work in 2D or 3D, or simply like to fill your desk with nice things, the female anatomical figure will be an invaluable addition to your world. The statue is cast in green-grey resin to make the variation in the surfaces and directional flow of the muscles easy to see and understand. One half of the model shows full skin, while the other is a clear and detailed dissection revealing muscle structure.

Sculpted by Dan Crossland for 3dtotal, the female figure is produced to the same standards as the original male statue, and also to scale. We calculated that our female would be around 5% shorter than our male in the real world, making her 265mm tall, minus the base (our male is 297mm, minus the base). Cast in the same neutral grey resin, together the models will make fantastic desktop companions!

Are there digital download versions of the anatomy figures available?

Our anatomy figures are only available in their physical version. Their dimensions are:-
  • Male anatomy figures: 27.5 cm (11 inches)
  • Male "adaptable" figure: 34cm tall (13.4 inches)
  • Female anatomy figures: 26.5cm (10.5 inches)
  • Animal anatomy figures: between 10.7cm - 15.7cm (4.2 - 6.18 inches)
  • Male planar bust: 17cm (6.7 inches)
  • Female planar bust: 16.2cm (6.4 inches)
  • Male mini bust: 10cm (4 inches)

Caring for your anatomy figure

  • We recommend that you avoid leaving your anatomy figures in direct sunlight, as prolonged UV exposure can lead to discolouration.

My figure doesn't fit in its base! What can I do?

It can sometimes be tight to get the pegs on the feet of the figures into the base and so the legs often need pulling apart a little to enable them to fit, as in these videos:-

Beautifully done, as advertised

Quite interesting detail and solid construction. Sadly, it dropped off my coffee table and an arm snapped off, which was my own fault, so I’m not complaining, though this gives a sense of how brittle it is. Just FYI, I still highly recommend.

3d reference figure

The female figure is an excellent resource for those moments when a model can't be engaged. Particularly good for posing when looking from odd angles.

Beautiful statuette

This is a beautiful statuette with an incredible contrast between the two sides.

As a US customer, I did initially receive a broken statue. However, customer service was very responsive and a replacement was sent out a week later. I paid for rapid delivery on my initial order so it arrived in 9 days, but the replacement was not sent rapid delivery, so it took 17 days.

This did mean that it took a total of 33 days for me to receive an unbroken product, but since the customer service was friendly, and the product is really great, I'd definitely buy from 3dtotal again.

Half Female Figure
