Excellent book to have

Well written tutorials from quality artists. What ever your skill level you can always learn from other artists and I've been a games artist for over 20 years. Book leans towards characters but a bit of everything is covered and I've always been a fan of Andrew Hickinbottom's style. Glad I bought it :).

Great for all skill levels

I've been a 3DS Max user since 1999 and still find value in the material presented in this book.It presents information in an easy to digest manner. It is useful for getting beginners up and running. For the experienced crowd, it's a good reference and provides potentially different approaches.Often I would find myself at the beginning of a chapter and determining how I would go about doing it. Often I was presented with alternative approaches to my own workflow and even learned a few things.Definitely recommend.
