The horse is known to be a particularly difficult mammal to replicate, its forms often misunderstood even by experienced artists. Regularly used as a basis for fantasy beings such as dragons, unicorns, and kelpies, a solid understanding of a horse’s anatomy goes a long way in creature design. The half-écorché/half-skin equine figure offers you the chance to study both the muscular structure and the surface variations of a horse in detail.

This is my third model of a horse.. and I blieve this one is the best

I have bought over the years 2 Anatomical Models of Horses... and just received a copy of this one. I'm a sculptor, and I can never have to many Reference materials for what I do. I've been sculpting since 1965.. and man I wish I had this resource back then.
I've promoted this horse on my YouTube Channel, where I video myself sculpting. I hope my followers will take advantage of this wonderful Model of a horse.

Mine came with a small chip but over all very nice figure.

I just recently got mine in the mail after waiting almost 2 months for it. The box the figure came in had a few small holes and dents in it. When I opened it, the figure was all intact except for the tip of the left ear had fallen off. I tried to look for it in the box but it wasn't there. (I'd plan to just glue it back on) I don't wish to return the item since I've already waited so long, and everything else looks fine. If anything I'll just try to fix it by adding on some epoxy clay later. Other than that, it's a very nice horse reference. I bought it to help with my drawing and 3d sculpting work.

Anatomy at a Glance

Love it! It's difficult to find ecorche models that are both accurate for study and inspiring to display. It's not large so it fits well on almost any surface but it has enough detail and presence to be immediately striking as a display and immensely useful for referencing. If I had one wish, it would be that a series of animal ecorche would be made that display the muscle and skeletal structures. I'd pick that up, no question! Overall, this model is well worth the price and I have been showing it off to colleagues who are now considering ordering their own.

High quality useful reference

A very useful little figure, well cast and packaged. It's proven to be a very handy tool for reference when I've been sculpting. It's convinced me it's worth picking up another animal reference once I can.
