Guweiz began drawing when he was seventeen, inspired by an anime art tutorial on YouTube. Discovering a natural passion for the genre, he continued to learn and draw, and quickly amassed a fanbase for his edgy art style. Djamila lives and works in Leipzig, Germany. Working as an illustrator for games and books until 2017, she one day had an epiphany and decided to dedicated herself to being an independent artist, concentrating on her own style of work. Primarily creating work digitally, Djamila was obsessed with fantasy and 90s anime, and her work today is an accumulation of these early influences.
Simone Grünewald, also known as “Schmoe,” is a passionate illustrator and well-known art director, character designer, 2D animator, and key art storyboarder working in the games industry. She has a desire to create emotive designs that document her life, including the experiences of motherhood, in addition to her commercial work. Having followed the creative path all of her life, Simone has a wealth of knowledge in both traditional and digital art and shares her insights with her global audience via increasingly popular social media accounts. Simone is also the author of Sketch Every Day (3dtotal Publishing)
Ira “Iraville” Sluyterman van Langeweyde is a prolific Munich-based illustrator with a passion for watercolors. Her idyllic paintings of flora and fauna, travel scenes, home comforts, and autumnal landscapes are rendered with exquisite care, often using handmade pigments, creating a unique, picturesque world beloved by fans across the globe. She shares her expertise with her followers via her highly popular Instagram and YouTube accounts, as well as in-person painting workshops.
Charlie is a classically trained figurative artist and illustrator living and working in London. He was awarded the de Laszlo Foundation’s Award for Excellence in 2020. His work is primarily exhibited in London and can be found in collections worldwide.
Francisco Garcés, otherwise known as Dibujante Nocturno, is a professional illustrator from the Canary Islands, Spain, who creates art with a dark aesthetic reminiscent of the drama of Greek epics. Specializing in the design of fantastical creatures, he is an extremely passionate artist with a love of the fantasy genre that has followed him since he was a young child. Creating personal work is something he has never stopped doing as he considers it fundamental to his wellbeing, and sees sharing that work with others as an integral part of his creative way of life. Alongside crafting deeply personal projects, he produces commissions for clients based in the gaming industries.
Devin Elle Kurtz is a 24-year-old digital illustrator, visual development artist, and background painter, with a focus on fantasy creatures and colorful environments. She works full-time on the Netflix animated series Disenchantment as lead background artist, but still makes time to focus on personal projects and business interests. Of particular note is Devin’s love of nature, with her whimsical scenes often featuring animals, fantastical creatures, and people within richly-lit scenes.
Beatrice is a Montreal-based art director and author/illustrator working both in publishing and the animation industry. She loves to travel and explore the natural world. Author of “Once Upon a Dragon’s fire”; "Once Upon a Mermaid's tail"; and the critically acclaimed “Once Upon a Unicorn Horn”, she has worked with companies such as Dreamworks TV, Apple TV+, Hasbro, Procreate, Harper Collins, Nickelodeon, Square-Enix and Penguin R.H. among many others and is the founder of the popular "Childhood Week '' challenge on social media.
UK-based artist, Asia Ladowska possesses a unique Manga-inspired style as result of her early interest in hyper-realistic art and a lifelong passion for Manga and Anime. Discovering a community of like-minded individuals on social media, she grew her part-time hobby into a successful illustration practice, with support of over a million followers. Through her Instagram hashtag "Sketch with Asia'" she connects with her supporters and encourages budding artists to "pursue what they love and to follow their hearts". Hailed as a "Superstar of Manga" by ImagineFX magazine, she's blazing a trail for UK Manga artists of the future.
Nathan Fowkes is a Los-Angeles-based feature animation artist who has worked on films for DreamWorks, Disney, Blue Sky Studios, and Paramount, with film credits including The Prince of Egypt, Shrek, and How to Train Your Dragon. His work has been featured in numerous publications and solo exhibitions. He is a guest lecturer at ArtCenter College of Design and teaches online at Schoolism.com.
Pernille Ørum is a freelance illustrator and visual artist living in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has a degree in Character Animation from The Animation Workshop, a highly respected specialist animation university based in Denmark. Her clients include Disney Publishing, Nickelodeon Jr., Mattel, and DreamWorks and she was Lead Character Designer on Warner Brothers DC Superhero Girls. Pernille's influential links to the entertainment industry are apparent in her latest collaborative project illustrating Marvels Hit-Girl comic book. Hit-Girl gave Pernille the chance to work with prolific comic book writer Mark Millar MBE as well as multi-faceted creative film maker, actor, and comedian, Kevin Smith, creator of Mallrats and the Clerks series. In recent years, Pernille has published two gallery style books: Blush and Coral, with the latter featuring an engaging foreword by Kevin Smith.

Detailed learning book

The book is beautifully illustrated and contains very good aid in the learning of the book's subject. The tutorials are more of a how-i-do-it of good artist, but either way contains a lot of useful info on the creating processing of arts.
