Chapter 1 - Introducing Photoshop's workspace, graphics tablets, screen calibration, color profiles and the Brush tool
In the first chapter we look at organising Photoshop's workspace, setting up the programme for optimal usage and setting up a tablet to work with it, calibrating your screen, choosing colour profiles in Photoshop, as well as what to do with the Brush tool and its many options.
Chapter 2 - Canvas settings, scanning drawings, swatches, color pickers, color theory, layers and custom brushes
The second chapter drags you deeper down the proverbial rabbit hole that is Photoshop, with canvas settings and the process of scanning drawings explained, and the use of swatches, color pickers and color theory covered. We also look at what layers are good for, how to work with the Layers palette and how to make those ever-useful custom brushes.
Chapter 3 - Composition rules, sketching and perspective, understanding light and blocking-in

Chapter 4 - Coloring from grayscale, colors beyond blocking-in, blending methods and using photos
In the fourth chapter we cover coloring a grayscale sketch or painting, how to paint with colors beyond blocking-in - including a more in-depth approach to the actual process - different blending methods and the tools to use for this, as well as how to use photos directly in your paintings.
Chapter 5 - Photo textures, quick masks, using the Wand tool, Liquify filter uses, Layer Masks and painting
In the fifth chapter we look at adding photo textures to a painting with the use of custom brushes. This chapter also covers the use of tools such as Quick Masks, the Extracting tool and the Wand tool, what use the Liquify Filter has, and the greatness of Layer Masks.
Chapter 6 - Finishing touches, filters, the Unsharpen Mask and saving your work
In the final chapter of this tutorial, we look at bringing our work to a close by adding some finishing touches. These include using filters such as the Blur filter and the Unsharpen Mask, changing colors if we're not quite happy with them, and finally saving images in different formats.
