About the artist

Ira “Iraville” Sluyterman van Langeweyde is a prolific Munich-based illustrator with a passion for watercolors. Her idyllic paintings of flora and fauna, travel scenes, home comforts, and autumnal landscapes are rendered with exquisite care, often using handmade pigments, creating a unique, picturesque world beloved by fans across the globe.     This book is wonderful!
    I love all the tips on how to make your own paint, ways to work with watercolors, etc.
    I learned a lot from this book, and I am very grateful that the artist took the time to share all of this knowledge with us.

    This is a beautiful book - in form and content - Iravilles style and handling of the tricky medium that watercolor is, is both, inspiring and nice to look at. But the book suprised me with very practical parts not only about watercolor techniques, but also chapters on paint making and book binding. Beautiful and full of content
