I could carry this book with me - anywhere

Extremely useful book to read whenever I have self-doubt about working in concept art. It does not hold back on anything about this career path I want to hear about. I enjoyed reading all the profiles and experiences of concept artists and how they build their lifestyle around their artistic career. If anyone is looking to get into concept art as a career, this is the right book to buy and carry around with you. It gives out the right advice, the pros and cons of all the known software and what to expect when going into the industry (animation, gaming, etc).

A must buy for artists getting into the industry

I have recently ordered this book and let me tell you, it has given me a lot of insight into the industry that you generally don't get unless you attend the big art conventions. It gives you information on everything from the different production phases, to insight in multiple concept artists' day to day work, into how to correctly market your work and be prepared for an interview. I'd say buy this book together with the Big Bad World of Concept Art for Video Games by Eliott Lilly, and you will be greatly prepared to start working in this industry.

Excellent purchase!

Extremely happy with this purchase! The content is great - especially the 'a day in the life' sections which provided great insight in to the daily lives of artists currently working in the field. The biggest surprise was the quality of the book itself. The cover protects the pages really well which is great for me as I carry books in my bag as I travel! Would recommend to anyone looking to break in to the industry and anyone currently in the industry looking for their bible.
