The tutorials on offer cover a multitude of techniques and useful tips and tricks to painting all aspects of space. They also deal with the tools in Photoshop used to create such effects.
The author covers the aesthetic considerations behind producing a wide array of both digital and traditional artwork alike, as well as much of the scientific theory relevant to the design process ensuring a measured and realistic approach to the subject matter.
We look at traditional sketching techniques common to many design studios and how these practices work hand in hand with digital methods, while ensuring a practical approach to solving the artistic issues, and producing both plausible and imaginative concepts.

Chapter 7 - Capital ships
In this seventh chapter we continue to discuss spaceships, this time focusing on impossibly grand capital ships that can span up to a few miles in length.

This chapter examines the depiction of truly large installations in space - namely space stations. We will also consider their primary users (for human inhabitation).
Part Three - Environments
Chapter 9 - Sci-fi hanger
The third section of this eBook deals with environments in space. Chapter 9 starts by exploring sci-fi hangers, a unique set design that is a common feature in any sci-fi game or blockbuster film.
Chapter 10 - Space battle
This chapter covers how a typical freelance artists, or studio, can go about producing key scenes for use within the pre-production process of a game or movie.
Chapter 11 - Mining the asteroid fields
In this chapter we examine aspects of a more civilian nature in terms of life in space.
Chapter 12 - Space colonies
The final chapter of this tutorial reaches forward to a time when mankind has decided to actively reach for the stars and build the first space colony.
